Definition Of Communication

A Communication is a process to transfer information from one place (called source) to any other place (called destination) . a communication system mainly contain three major elements , at the source it has Transmitter ,at the destination it has Reciever and in between Transmitter and Reciever it has a Channel through which information is transferred from Transmitter to Reciever.
                                                                 

A General Communication System

we can see the communication systems in different ways like Telephones ,Radios , Internet access,  Televisions etc. in our daily lives. 

There are two basic modes of communication

1. Broadcasting
2. Point-to-point Communications

BROADCASTING :-

 In Broadcasting one Transmitter is used to transfer information to more than one Recievers. 

Ex:- Television Broadcasting , Radio Broadcasting etc.

POINT-TO-POINT COMMUNICATION :-

In this communication , information is transferred point to point i.e. a single transmitter can communicate only one reciever .

Ex:-  Telephone , mobile communication etc.
